Today a strong cold front is expected to push all the way to the Texas Gulf Coast and then become more stationary tomorrow. But the GFS moves the front far enough northward tomorrow that sites like Victoria, Texas will warm into the 70's, while the NAM keeps Victoria in the cold air, about 20 F colder. A NWS forecast discussion from Corpus Christi says that the GFS tends to be too slow with these kind of cold air masses. So let's predict Thursday's Tmax for Victoria and see what happens.
